Projects

    • Project: Chromatofocusing
    • Client: Dr. Douglas Frey and Nuno Pinto
    • Consultants: Andrew Raim, David Trott, and Dr. Matthias Gobbert
    • Description: Working with Dr. Frey and his graduate student Nuno Pinto to help better structure and improve the performance of a code that simulates chromatofocusing which is a protein-separation technique. This project is being carried out in conjunction with HPCF.
    • Project:  High School Teachers’ Influence on College Choice
    • Client:  Yvette Mozie-Ross, Assistant Provost for Enrollment Management at UMBC
    • Consultants: Merve Gurlu and Dr. Nagaraj Neerchal
    • Description:  Assisted with data analysis and programmed SAS code.  Created frequency tables and generated chi-square statistics to determine the overall association between the importance of high school teachers’ opinion on college choice and other variables such as gender, ethnicity, etc.  Conducted simultaneous t-tests to test whether the differences in the proportions of students in different subgroups who find high school teacher’s opinion important and not important are statistically significant
